Terms of Service

• Usage: you must use the bot in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and with Twitch's Terms of Service.
• Prohibited activities: spamming the bot, abusing its commands, or trying to bypass its limits is not allowed.
• Availability: the bot is provided as is, without warranty. Features may change, break, or be discontinued at any time.
• Suspension: we may stop serving a server that abuses the bot or breaks these rules.
• Not affiliated: the bot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord or Twitch.

Privacy Policy

This section explains what the Twitch Alerts Discord bot collects, why, and how you can have it removed.

What we store

• Server IDs (guild IDs) and channel IDs where the bot is configured.
• The configuration you set with slash commands — /live add, /live message, /drop add, /drop message — meaning which Twitch channel is followed, in which Discord channel, and the announcement message you configured.
• The Discord user ID of the person who added a configuration, so we can show who set it up.
• Feature toggles: booleans (true / false) for the features you enable or disable, such as the clip downloader and the automatic live role.
• Twitch channel information: Twitch user IDs, logins, display names and live status timestamps, used to send live and drop notifications.
• For the automatic live role: the role ID and the Discord user IDs of the members who received the role from the bot, so it never removes a role it did not add.
• Premium subscriptions: the Discord entitlement, SKU and subscription identifiers needed to know whether a server has an active subscription.
• The IDs and content of the messages the bot itself posts, so it can edit or delete its own announcements.

What we never store

• Your messages. Message content is read in memory only, and only in channels where a server administrator enabled the clip downloader, in order to detect Twitch clip links. It is never written to our database.
• Your presence. It is read in memory only to detect a Streaming status and give the configured role. It is never stored.
• We do not sell or rent your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine learning or AI models.

Third parties

• Discord — the bot runs on the Discord API to receive events and post messages.
• Twitch — used to know when a streamer goes live and to follow drop campaigns.
• Hosting — the data listed above is stored in a database on servers we control.

Retention and deletion

Configuration data is kept while the bot is in your server and the configuration exists. Removing the bot from your server, or disabling a feature in it, stops any further processing. You can ask us to delete the data linked to your server or your account at any time.

Children

The bot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this document. The date at the top of the page will be changed accordingly, and continued use of the bot means you accept the updated version.
